How old does my child have to be to use Recovery Record?
The current clinical recommendation is for parents or caregivers to use the Recovery Record Family App as the primary tool to support their child through eating disorder treatment.
When it becomes clinically and developmentally appropriate for the child or adolescent to begin taking more ownership of their eating and recovery, the original Recovery Record app can be introduced to the young person to use directly.
Even at that stage, it is strongly encouraged that parents continue to stay involved by having access to the Recovery Record app, helping to provide guidance and support as their child builds confidence and independence in recovery.
