No. Caregivers can use the Family App independently and access caregiver-focused resources, strategies, affirmations, and meal-monitoring tools without being connected to a clinician. Connecting with you, however, can make the Family App more useful as part of treatment. When a caregiver links with you, you can review the information they are recording between sessions, including meals, challenges, behaviors, and other observations from home. This can give you additional context for understanding how recovery is progressing and where the family may need more support.

You can then use this information to help guide conversations during sessions, identify patterns or areas of difficulty, and provide more individualized support to caregivers. The Family App is intended to complement your clinical work and strengthen collaboration with families, rather than create an expectation that you continuously monitor the app between sessions.
